Can I get a false negative result on a blood test?
Blood tests are usually very accurate, but they are not perfect. There is a very small chance of a false negative result or that the lab may have made a mistake. If your menstrual cycle has not arrived, you should repeat the pregnancy test.
If the second test is positive, you could start prenatal care. If the result of the second test is negative, your doctor may examine you and do more tests to accurately assess your health.
