MNAC Summer School, July 11-20, 2012

From 11 to 20 July, we invite the children to a series of creative workshops, held at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, gathered in the form of a summer school with the following themes:

1. The story of the Carpathian Castle (title inspired by the installation of the SubReal group) and

2. Contemporary painting within the meaning of the little ones.

Children will learn in a playful way about contemporary art and its forms of expression, will visit open exhibitions at MNAC and will experiment in the workshop various techniques - collage, photomontage, installation with non-conventional materials, painting, graphics, etc. The workshops are accompanied by movie screenings and views.

The workshops grouped in 2 modules of 3 courses will be organized as follows:

Module 1: The story of the Carpathian Castle

Thursday, July 12, 11:00 - Collage / photo montage workshop - Image parody

Friday, July 13, 11:00 am - Creative workshop - Installation of unconventional materials

Module 2: Contemporary painting within the meaning of the little ones

Wednesday, July 18, 11:00 am - Painting workshop figurative painting

Thursday, July 19, 11:00 am - Abstract composition painting workshop

Friday, July 20, 11:00 am - Painting workshop - painting on the large surface

The duration of the workshops is 2 hours from 11: 00h to 13: 00h, the materials are made available by the organizers.
