The curiosity, imagination and creativity of children are provoked and rewarded in audiovisual education workshops and in meetings with film professionals.
Between 15-20 November, at the KINOdiseea International Children's Film Festival, renowned actors, directors, producers, image directors, scenographers, costumes and mounts will introduce the little ones in the backstage of the cinema. In addition to the screenings of the films from the Competition and Retrospective sections, the enthusiasts will have the opportunity to meet professionals from the world of film, both from Romania and from other countries and to participate in workshops and sessions of questions and answers with the film crews.


The little ones will meet with Master Victor Rebengiuc, from which they will find out about the emotions of the first role, about the first experience in cinema and about the life of an actor. Actress Ada Condeescu, known for her role in I When I Want to Whistle, Whistle (directed by Florin Serban), awarded with the Silver Bear at the Berlin Festival in 2010 and for her performance in Loverboy (directed by Catalin Mitulescu), a role that brought her the award for the best actress in the Sarajevo Film Festival will be the host of the acting workshop.
Jor Van Kline returns to KINOdiseea with a workshop in which he will present the most appreciated special effects he has worked on, such as those for the Star Wars and Star Trek films. Richard Spur, the image director of the film Blacksmith in Woodham, the Czech film from the competition, will support the film image workshop, Stefan Tatu will show the children how to film and mount movies, at the editing workshop, and Dana Istrate, how to realizes the scenography of a film. In addition, children can also participate in the costume workshop of Daniel Diaconescu, creative recycling workshops, supported by Creative Arts trainees, where they will build recycled materials, dragons, viking and crocodile boats, manga drawing, improvisation and origami.
At the end of the screenings, those in the room will be able to meet and discuss with the filming team of the film The Ironman in Woodham, with Gregor Bauer and Valerie Samalova, the two leading children, with the image director Richard Spur and with the producer Katerina Spurova. On the red carpet, this year, actress Ann Petren, winner of the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival and director Stephan Apelgren, will meet the little ones at the Swedish film Eskil and Trinidad. Producer Vladimir Esinov will take part in the Q&A from the end of the screening On the word of pioneer, the film that opens this year's anniversary edition of the KINOdiseea festival.
