Deputies yesterday approved, on articles, a draft law regarding the granting of a financial support of 200 euros for those who marry for the first time.
This financial aid will be granted to young families, established after January 1, 2007.
The bill is an initiative of the government. The normative act establishes that this money will benefit young families, consisting of spouses at the first marriage, regardless of their citizenship. There is also an additional condition for receiving the 200 euros. The bride and groom must have their domicile or residence in Romania.
In order to get possession of the money, the newlyweds will have to submit an application for this purpose, within a maximum of 30 days from the date of marriage.
The institution that will receive the applications and other law enforcement procedures will be established in the methodological norms that will be approved by the government after the enactment of the normative act.
The financial aid will be granted by the state only in the situations in which the opening, cancellation or termination of the marriage did not take place until the payment date. The deputies are going to give the final vote on the draft law as soon as possible.
