A baby of only two months old was transported with a SMURD helicopter, from the Marie Curie Hospital in the Capital to Targu Mures. The specialists here will perform a very complicated operation on the heart. The SMURD rescue mission began yesterday morning at 9 am A crew of doctor, assistant, pilot and co-pilot took the patient - a baby admitted to Marie Curie Hospital, to be transported to Targu Mures.
The baby was born with a congenital heart malformation and, because of this, his heart risks to stop at any moment. In order to save his life, a heart surgery is required. The baby arrived at Targu Mures. He is admitted to the Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic, is stabilized and monitored.

Depending on the evolution of his health, the doctors will have surgery in the coming days.
