Ospen administered during pregnancy

Ospen administered during pregnancy

Question:

- I am in the second pregnancy and I have cooled in the first month of pregnancy. I took the advice of the Ospen gynecologist doctor of 1000. I was also the family doctor to start doing the tests and what should be done, I was very angry that I took an antibiotic 2 days, ie 4 pills. How to proceed now?

Answer:

Ospen administration does not negatively affect fetal development, so you don't have to worry about it.
To date, there is no indication of embryotoxic, teratogenic or mutagenic action of phenoxymethylpenicillin (active component of Ospen) administered during pregnancy.
Thus, a good monitoring of the subsequent development by maintaining a collaboration with the obstetrician doctor will ensure optimal behavior during pregnancy.
This administration is not a reason to stop the pregnancy so I wish you an easy pregnancy and a healthy baby!
