LUX Film Days 2013, Cinema Studio
The Information Office of the European Parliament invites film lovers from Bucharest to Cinema Studio, on Friday, November 29 and on Saturday, November 30, at the LUX Film Days. On this occasion there will be the screening of the finalist films for the LUX Prize of the European Parliament, The Broken Circle Breakdown, The Honey and the Selfish Giant (The Selfish Giant).
The days of the LUX Film aim to bring to the attention of European citizens the diversity and richness of European cinema. within this event, 3 European films are broadcast, in 23 languages, in all the 28 countries of the European Union, in the same period - autumn. this year, the films will be broadcast in over 40 European cities.
Established in 2007 by the European Parliament, the LUX Prize aims, first and foremost, to highlight the public debate on the European Union and its role in the lives of European citizens and, secondly, to support European cinema by disseminating (co) productions European countries in all member countries of the Union. The winning film, chosen by Members of the European Parliament, will be announced on December 11, 2013.
The winner of the LUX Prize does not receive a direct grant, but his film will be subtitled in all 24 official languages of the European Union; the original version will be adapted for the visually impaired and / or hearing impaired. A copy of the 35 mm film will be distributed in each Member State.
Movie lovers have the opportunity to express their opinion on LUX films and topics covered and can vote online for the favorite movie for "Mention of the public". The result of the Public Mention will be announced at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival from June / July 2014.
