Researchers at the University of Southern California (USC) have found that older mothers do not experience higher levels of stress or health problems than younger ones. The study, in which 150 mothers participated, did not deal with the effect of aging mothers on their children.
The volunteers were women between the ages of 30 and 50, who had undergone fertility treatments during 1992-2004. Researchers say that from the perspective of stress and mental and physical functioning, age is not a factor in restricting motherhood.
