6 easy recipes for sweets for the holidays

Sweets are endless on the holiday table and represent one of the greatest joys of children. But to enjoy more assortments of sweets and Christmas cakes, it is important to choose as easy, simple and practical recipes that do not include many ingredients and do not consume much time or energy. Vanilla, bourbon and hazelnut caramel

Ingredients

1 tablespoon bourbon (cognac)
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup of sugar
1 1/2 cups salted walnuts, peeled and fried
1/2 cup of corn syrup
1 tablespoons unsalted butter

Method of preparation

In a bowl, mix the bourbon, baking soda and vanilla. Separately, in a saucepan, heat the corn syrup, bent with 1 tablespoon of water, until it boils and bubbles on the edges, then add the sugar and stir until dissolved.

Cover the pot with a lid, so that the sugar crystals that tend to form on the edges will melt. After 1-2 minutes, add the fried peanuts. Let it boil for about 5 minutes, then add the butter and the mixture of bourbon, baking soda and vanilla. Mix thoroughly to incorporate all ingredients.

Place a baking sheet in a pan, take the pot from the heat and, using a spatula, pour the composition, spreading it evenly over the entire surface of the pan. Let it cool, then put it in the fridge or toss it out, cold, until it hardens. Break the caramel into asymmetrical pieces and arrange them beautifully on a platter.

Angel wings

Ingredients

200 g white chocolate, chopped brown
24 dehydrated apricots
1/2 cup pistachio unsalted, crushed

Method of preparation

Melt the chocolate in a bowl, at the bain-marie or in the microwave. Take each piece of apricot and roll it through the chocolate (only on one side), then immediately give it through the minced pistachio. Proceed the same with each dehydrated fruit. Place the apricots wrapped in chocolate and pistachios on a baking sheet, then place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened.

Delicious fruit jellies

Ingredients

1 1/3 cups fruit juice (of choice)
4 packages of gelatin (30 g)
2 1/2 cups of sugar
2 cups of fruit candy

Method of preparation

Put two thirds of cup of fruit juice in a bowl and add gelatin. Let it sit for 5 minutes in the juice. Meanwhile, add the remaining fruit juice and 1 1/2 cups of sugar in a saucepan, then place on the heat and leave until the syrup boils and the sugar melts.

Add the fruit and leave on the heat until the mixture turns into a thicker syrup. Add the melted gelatin to the juice and mix until it is incorporated into the syrup. Add the mixture in various shapes or in a pan, then place the jelly in the refrigerator, about 3 hours, until it hardens.

Put the remaining sugar on a large plate, cut the jelly into cubes or in various shapes and roll them

Cappuccino truffles with cinnamon

Ingredients

1 tablespoon hot water
2 teaspoons instant coffee, granules
2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
1/2 cup of greasy sour cream
180 g dark chocolate, chopped
2 tablespoons butter, at room temperature
3 tablespoons sugar

Method of preparation

In a bowl, mix water, coffee and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Put the cream on the fire, in a saucepan, until it reaches the boiling point, then set it aside on the stove. Add the chocolate and butter to the cream and mix until melted. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cinnamon and coffee and mix well.

Give the composition to the refrigerator, about 1 hour. On a platter, mix a little sugar with the remaining cinnamon. Remove the composition from the refrigerator, mold it into balls or balls and then roll them through the mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Bake them in the refrigerator for another 2 hours.

Lemon Fudge

Fudge are traditional sweets from the UK, very similar in texture to some soft caramel.

Ingredients

1 1/2 teaspoons + 6 tablespoons butter
1.2 kg of vanilla chocolate chips
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
2/3 cup cream of hazelnut
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon extract

Method of preparation

Melt the 6 tablespoons butter in a larger pot. Add the chocolate chips with vanilla and condensed milk. Leave the composition on fire for another 10-12 minutes or until the chocolate has melted. Add the honey cream and lemon extract. The composition is left on the fire for another 3-4 minutes, then poured into a tray with foil butter. Bake the tray in the refrigerator until the composition strengthens. Remove the fudge completely from the pan with the foil, then cut it into pieces and serve directly from the fridge.

The caddies with cinnamon

Ingredients

1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of corn syrup
1 salt powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon oil
3-4 drops of food coloring
12 chopsticks for lollipops

Method of preparation

Grease 12 lattice shapes with butter, then place a piece of baking paper in each. In a saucepan, mix the sugar, corn syrup and salt. Put the pan on the fire until the sugar melts. Leave the composition on fire for a few more minutes, without mixing in it.

Take the pot from the heat and add in the composition the cinnamon oil and the dye, then pour it into shapes. Wait for them to cool a little and even before they fully heal, remove them from the molds and inflict a chop each time. Put them in the refrigerator to fully cure them and serve them to the children during Christmas.
