The phases of the month do not affect the health or the quality of sleep, according to the conclusions of a team of German researchers who contradict the traditional views of this heavenly body which is a continuous source of fascination for people, reports the DPA. According to traditional views, the moon has a secret influence on human health.
The most common health problem attributed to the influence of the month is insomnia, but this idea is unfounded, according to researcher Juergen Zulley of the University of Regensburg, Germany. Another phenomenon attributed to the influence of this heavenly body is an increase in the number of births during the full month period. Edith Wolber from the German Karlsruhe Midwives Association says this idea is not supported by statistics.
